BIO
The Full Story
When Julia was a teenager, she loved reading the classic novels by authors such as the Brontes and Thomas Hardy but it annoyed her that all the heroines were graceful and stunningly beautiful and she thought it was time to give the plain, clumsy girls a chance. So she started writing her own novels but very quickly she realised that she hated writing all that descriptive stuff and she couldn't wait until she got to the dialogue.

Luckily for Julia, she was a member of the after school drama club and her wonderful drama teacher, Mrs Downey, encouraged her to write plays. This allowed her to indulge her fascination with human conversation and to start what has been a lifelong interest in human behaviour.

Fast forward through a career in psychiatry, numerous life events and several cats, and via the support and encouragement of her good friends at Theatre Adhoc, Julia has been writing plays for audiences across South Wales. And she will continue to do so - as long as she keeps getting those annoying flashes of inspiration whilst driving her car to work in the morning.
